The manning and Bookkeeping department is in charge of all finances and accounting within herning shipping. By means of state of the art information technology we are able to have updated information available at all times. In this way we are able to make major financial decisions within a short period of time. Regardless of whether the decision to be taken concerns, the estimation of a potential new voyage or perhaps the entering into a new time charter agreement or whether or not to purchase a new vessel - we are always able to obtain relevant financial information within a relatively short period of time.

All our vessels, our domestic office and all our offices abroad are connected to each other by means of a joint IT system, which enables the drawing of updated information across the sea and beyond land frontiers. Our internal and external communication is rapid and effective and thus improving our competitiveness. herning shipping operates internationally and as such, we have fully taken all steps, in implementing the European joint currency - that is the Euro, within the financial department of our company.

The technical department of herning shipping handles matters such as vessel maintenance, approvals and certificates, environmental and safety issues and aspects related to e.g. working environment etc. Since herning shipping always strives at being one step ahead so to speak, we are therefore often able to implement recommendable solutions and meet international suggested requirements even before these have become legislative requirements. As a result hereof, herning shipping has fully described and documented the level of quality offered in various respects.

Our quality control system was certified in accordance with the ISO 9000 standard in 1993. All owned vessels were ISM-certified in 1995. And as one of the pioneering shipping companies in the world we were ISO 14001 certified in 2000 - a certification, covering the environment. In September 2001 herning shipping took another step in the progressive direction when we were OHSAS 18001-certified for our working environment.
