herning shipping offers a two-year education programme within shipping. The education is a combination of practical and theoretical education. The practical education will take place at our office in Herning, and the theoretical part consists of a shipping related part, and a Graduate Diploma in Business Administration (HD part 1).
Why choose a career in shipping?
When you choose a career in shipping, you automatically choose an education focusing on international trade. The Danish shipping industry handles 10% of worldwide transportation.
Your typical day will be extremely challenging, and you will communicate with a wide range of international customers, colleagues and trade partners throughout the day. In time you will be responsible for arranging the transport of valuable liquids from A to B at a competitive price according to high quality standards and to the full satisfaction of all involved parties.
Why herning shipping?
herning shipping owns and manages tankers up to 13,900 dwt. We operate worldwide from offices in Herning/DK, Golfe-Juan/F and Singapore.
Our strategy is to meet our customers’ needs for “GLOCAL” quality transport by means of tailor-made solutions, and in doing so we wish to enhance a positive reputation and stay profitable.
herning shipping cooperates with major Danish shipping companies on the theoretical shipping related part of the education. This means that the education is similar throughout the Danish shipping industry, and that you will have ample opportunity to form a network with other shipping trainees during your two-year education.
Which qualifications do you need?
To be eligible for a position as shipping trainee you must have at least graduated from HHX or similar (e.g. Danish “gymnasium”) with mathematics at B-level and English at A-level.
As a person you should be ambitious, open-minded, and motivated for a future career in international trade.
How do you apply?
As herning shipping recruits shipping trainees only once a year – on August 1st – you should forward your application including relevant diplomas, certificates and/or latest term marks no later than March 31st.
We operate in a paperless office environment, and we therefore prefer to receive your application and relevant enclosures via email at firstname.lastname@example.org
